What might it look like when a community is transforming?
A community transforming is a community that is experiencing the love of Christ. Christ's love reconciles, harmonizes, brings shalom — whether it's a neighbourhood community, a community of believers, or a community that is created through ministry partnerships. It is a powerful love that flows from the cross and into communities. It flows into communities because individuals, churches, organizations are passionate about forming partnerships, walking with their neighbours and working together to produce development and growth. By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, this is how transformation happens. It brings people together, heals brokenness, imparts peace.
DMC is passionate about motivating and equipping deacons, churches and Christian organizations to work together to help realize a vision of communities experiencing and living in the transforming love of Christ.
So what might it look like when a community is transforming?
It looks like a young teen mom enfolded into a church family.
It looks like a diaconate better equipped to lead.
It looks like a church in the process of a Community Opportunity Scan, learning how it might walk with its neighbours.
It looks like all these things, and more, and it also looks like the following stories.
