- The Office of Social Justice is a ministry of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) that responds to God’s call to let justice flow like a river in our personal and communal lives, especially as it relates to hunger and poverty. We educate CRC members, encourage and support their engagement in social justice issues, and occasionally are involved in direct advocacy. Staff person: Steve van de Hoef at svandehoef@crcna.org

- Justice and Worship: How can the whole of our worship service reflect God's special love and passionate concern for those who are poor and excluded? These resources will help worship planners integrate God's call to justice in worship throughout the church year. Visit www.crcna.org/pages/osj_letjusticeroll.cfm
- Justice and Advocacy: Christians are called to be advocates — to speak out against systemic injustices and to seek the removal of barriers that keep people poor, vulnerable, and powerless in this broken world. While advocacy can take many forms, contacting government representatives is something that everyone can do. It's our duty as citizens and as Christians to make our own voices heard to our provincial and federal representatives and to "speak out for those who cannot speak…" (Prov 31:8-9). Our government representatives at all government levels highly value the opinions of those they represent: they keep tallies of constituents' positions, and they can even be swayed by a single articulate, personal letter or email. Here are some simple guidelines about how to make your contact easy and effective. Visit www.crcna.org/pages/osj_letjusticeroll.cfm
- The Micah Center for Social Justice provides learning opportunities for students who wish to experience first hand what it is like to work among the poor and dispossessed of the earth. In partnership with organizations like CRWRC, World Vision and MCC, we arrange for internships of various lengths in locations around the world. King’s students have learned and served in Honduras, Haiti, Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, the Philippines and even in downtown Urban Canada! They have helped improve infant health, care for the creation, document change and plant trees. They have been challenged and stretched in ways they could not imagine.
