Conducting a Community Opportunity Scan (COS)
The Community Opportunity Scan (COS) is a tool that helps churches understand their surrounding neighbourhood and community, and reveal new ministry opportunities.

By the end of the workshop participants will have:

• identified the value of conducting a COS
• discussed the difference between needs and opportunities
• reviewed the 7 components of the COS process
• heard about the COS experience of other churches
